About My Asian Nanny

What we do

My Asian Nanny is a curated caregiver referral agency founded in 2011 in Monterey Park, California. We match families with experienced caregivers across six service types — postpartum nannies, night nurses, full-time nannies, housekeepers, elderly caregivers, and bilingual tutors. We are not a marketplace or staffing app. Every candidate we present has been personally screened, interviewed, and evaluated by our team before being introduced to a family. Our roots are in Chinese postpartum care traditions, and many of our caregivers speak Mandarin, Cantonese, or Bahasa Indonesia. We now serve families of all backgrounds nationwide. Learn more about how we work on our placement process page.

What types of caregivers do you place?

We place six types of caregivers. Postpartum nannies (also called confinement nannies or yue sao) specialize in newborn care and maternal recovery support. Night nurses handle overnight newborn care so parents can sleep. Full-time nannies provide daily childcare for infants and young children. Housekeepers manage household cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and errands. Elderly caregivers provide in-home companionship, daily living assistance, and support for aging family members. Bilingual tutors offer private language and academic instruction for children. Each service has its own screening criteria and matching process.

What areas do you serve?

Our headquarters is in Monterey Park, California, and we have strong placement networks across Southern California and the San Francisco Bay Area. We also place caregivers in markets outside of California — availability depends on the service type and our network density in your area. Visit our service areas page to check availability, or contact us directly to discuss your location.

How long has My Asian Nanny been in business?

My Asian Nanny was founded in 2011 and has been placing caregivers with families for over fourteen years. We started with a focus on Chinese postpartum nanny placements for families navigating the traditional zuo yue zi recovery period. Over time, we expanded to include night nurses, full-time nannies, housekeepers, elderly caregivers, and bilingual tutors. More than a thousand families have used our services since we opened — read their testimonials to hear directly from the families we have worked with.

Postpartum and Confinement Nannies

What does a postpartum nanny do?

A postpartum nanny provides in-home support for new mothers and newborns during the weeks following childbirth. Her responsibilities typically include newborn care (feeding, bathing, diaper changes, soothing, and sleep routines), maternal recovery support (helping the mother rest and heal), and — depending on the arrangement — traditional recovery meal preparation. Postpartum nannies are experienced with the specific challenges of the newborn period: colic, cluster feeding, sleep deprivation, and the physical demands of post-birth recovery. They live in the family’s home for the duration of the engagement. Learn more on our postpartum nanny page.

What is a confinement nanny?

A confinement nanny — also called a yue sao — is a postpartum nanny trained in traditional Chinese postpartum recovery practices known as zuo yue zi, or “sitting the month.” In addition to standard newborn care, a confinement nanny prepares traditional recovery meals (warming soups, herbal broths, and nutrient-dense dishes designed to support the mother’s healing), helps the mother follow culturally specific recovery practices, and provides guidance based on generations of postpartum care tradition. My Asian Nanny has specialized in confinement nanny placements since our founding in 2011.

How long should I hire a postpartum nanny?

Most families hire a postpartum nanny for 30 to 42 days — a range that aligns with the traditional Chinese confinement period, or zuo yue zi. Shorter engagements of 26 days work for mothers with strong family support at home, while longer bookings of 60 to 90 days are common after C-sections, with multiples, or when the mother wants extended recovery and newborn care help. Some families start with a shorter engagement and extend once the nanny is in the home. The right duration depends on your birth plan, feeding goals, and how much help you have available in those early weeks. Visit our hire a confinement nanny page for guidance on choosing the right engagement length and getting started, or use our postpartum care cost calculator for a personalized cost estimate based on your preferred duration.

Can a postpartum nanny cook traditional Chinese recovery meals?

Yes. Many of our postpartum nannies specialize in preparing traditional zuo yue zi recovery meals. This includes warming soups, herbal broths, ginger-based dishes, sesame oil chicken, and other nutrient-rich foods that are part of the Chinese postpartum recovery tradition. Meal preparation can be arranged for the mother alone or for the entire household — including meals for one, two, three, or four or more family members. If traditional meal preparation is important to your family, let us know during the consultation so we can match you with a nanny who has specific experience in this area.

What is the difference between a postpartum nanny and a doula?

These are two different roles that serve different stages of the journey into parenthood. A doula focuses on labor, delivery, and the immediate hours surrounding birth — offering emotional support, breathing guidance, and advocacy in the delivery room. Her involvement usually ends within a few days of the baby arriving. A postpartum nanny begins where the doula leaves off. She moves into your home for weeks or months, handling overnight newborn care, feeding routines, bathing, soothing, and — if your family follows the tradition — preparing daily recovery meals for the mother. The two roles complement each other well, and many of our families hire both. Read our full postpartum nanny vs. doula comparison for a detailed side-by-side breakdown.

Night Nurses and Overnight Newborn Care

What does a night nurse do?

A night nurse is an experienced newborn care specialist who works overnight in your home while you sleep. Her responsibilities include all overnight feedings (bottle or bringing baby to you for breastfeeding), diaper changes, soothing, swaddling, monitoring the baby’s sleep environment, and maintaining detailed logs of feeding times, diaper output, and sleep patterns. The goal is simple: parents get sustained, uninterrupted sleep while a trained specialist handles everything the baby needs through the night. Learn more on our night nurse page.

Do night nurses stay awake all night?

Yes. A night nurse remains awake, alert, and actively caring for your newborn throughout the entire overnight shift. She is not sleeping in your home and waking when the baby cries — she is attentive to every sound, every movement, and every scheduled feeding throughout the night. This is what distinguishes a night nurse from a babysitter who might doze between wake-ups.

What is the difference between a night nurse and a night nanny?

The terms “night nurse” and “night nanny” are used interchangeably in the newborn care industry. Both refer to an overnight newborn care specialist who works in your home while you sleep. A night nurse in this context is not a licensed registered nurse or medical professional — she is an experienced caregiver who specializes in overnight feeding, soothing, and sleep support for newborns.

How long do families typically use a night nurse?

Most families use a night nurse for several weeks to a few months. Many start with nightly coverage during the most demanding early weeks and gradually reduce to three or four nights per week as the baby develops longer sleep stretches — typically between 8 and 16 weeks of age. Some families continue on a reduced schedule through the first six months. You can hire a night nurse for every night, weeknights only, or a custom schedule. For cost estimates based on your schedule, visit our night nurse cost calculator.

Can a night nurse help with breastfeeding?

Yes. While a night nurse is not a replacement for a lactation consultant, she can bring the baby to you for nighttime nursing sessions, assist with positioning, handle burping and settling afterward, and allow you to return to sleep quickly. For families using pumped breast milk, the night nurse manages bottle preparation and feeding entirely. If breastfeeding support is a priority for your overnight care arrangement, mention it during your consultation so we can match you with a night nurse experienced in supporting nursing mothers.

Nannies and Childcare

What types of nannies do you place?

We place full-time nannies for daily childcare — both live-in and live-out arrangements. Many of our nannies are bilingual and experienced with infants, toddlers, and young children. Some specialize in newborn care, while others have experience with older children and school-age routines. We match based on your family’s specific needs: age of children, language preferences, schedule requirements, and caregiving priorities. Visit our nanny placement page for more details, or use our nanny cost calculator for a personalized rate estimate.

What languages do your nannies speak?

Many of our nannies speak Mandarin, Cantonese, or Bahasa Indonesia in addition to English. Bilingual nannies can support your child’s language development through daily conversation, reading, and play in the target language. If language ability is important to your family, let us know during the consultation and we will prioritize candidates with the specific language skills you need. Learn more on our bilingual nanny page.

Do your nannies have experience with newborns?

Yes. Many of our nannies have extensive experience caring for newborns and infants. This includes feeding support (bottle and breastfeeding assistance), safe sleep practices, developmental milestones, bathing, soothing techniques, and establishing age-appropriate routines. During the matching process, we evaluate each candidate’s experience level and match them with families based on the age of the children and the specific care requirements.

Housekeepers

What housekeeping services do you offer?

Our housekeepers provide comprehensive household management including daily cleaning, laundry, ironing, kitchen maintenance, grocery shopping, meal preparation, and general household organization. Many of our housekeepers speak Mandarin, Cantonese, or Bahasa Indonesia. Both live-in and live-out arrangements are available, with rates that vary by location and schedule. Visit our housekeeper cost calculator for a personalized pricing estimate.

Can a housekeeper also help with childcare?

Our housekeepers focus primarily on household management — cleaning, cooking, laundry, and errands. If your family needs dedicated childcare, we recommend a separate nanny placement to ensure your children receive focused, attentive care. Some families hire both a housekeeper and a nanny to cover both household and childcare needs. We can help you coordinate both placements.

Elder Caregivers

What does an in-home elderly caregiver do?

An in-home elderly caregiver provides companionship, daily living assistance, and support for aging family members in the comfort of their own home. Typical responsibilities include meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation to appointments, and engaging companionship throughout the day. Many of our elderly caregivers speak Mandarin, Cantonese, or Bahasa Indonesia, which can be especially important for older family members who are more comfortable communicating in their native language. Visit our elderly care cost calculator for pricing based on your schedule and location.

Do you place live-in elderly caregivers?

Yes. We place both live-in and live-out elderly caregivers depending on your family’s needs. Live-in arrangements provide consistent daily support and the comfort of having someone present in the home around the clock. Availability depends on your location and the specific care requirements. Discuss your preferences during the consultation and we will match accordingly.

Bilingual Tutors

What languages do your bilingual tutors teach?

Our bilingual tutors provide instruction in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Sessions include private language lessons, homework support, reading practice, and conversational immersion tailored to each student’s level. Whether your child is a beginning learner or maintaining fluency in a heritage language, we match with a tutor whose teaching approach fits your goals.

What ages do your tutors work with?

Our tutors work with students from elementary school through high school, with some subjects available at the college level. Younger children typically focus on conversational immersion and early literacy, while older students may need academic support, test preparation, or advanced language instruction. Session rates range from $44 to $95 depending on the subject, grade level, and location. Visit our tutor cost calculator for a personalized estimate.

Hiring Process

How does the placement process work?

Our placement process has seven steps: you submit the family registration form, we schedule a consultation call, our team matches you with vetted candidates, you interview the candidates we present, you select your preferred caregiver, the caregiver begins working in your home, and we provide ongoing support backed by a replacement guarantee. The entire process is designed to be straightforward and guided — especially for families who have never hired a caregiver before. Visit our process page for a detailed step-by-step walkthrough.

How long does it take to find a caregiver?

Many families are matched with a caregiver within one to two weeks of their initial consultation. The timeline depends on the service type, your location, and specific requirements. Postpartum nanny placements arranged well in advance may have faster turnaround. We set realistic expectations about timing during your consultation based on current availability in your area.

How much does it cost to hire through My Asian Nanny?

Rates vary by service type and location. Postpartum nannies typically range from $250 to $390 per day. Night nurses range from $250 to $530 per night depending on shift length. Full-time nannies range from $185 to $280 per day. Housekeepers range from $160 to $280 per day. Elderly caregivers range from $185 to $250 per day. Bilingual tutors range from $44 to $95 per session. All services include a one-time 10% referral fee — there are no recurring agency fees. Visit our salaries and rates page for detailed pricing by region, or use the individual cost calculators for a personalized estimate.

Can I interview candidates before hiring?

Yes. You interview every candidate we present before making any decision. Interviews can take place at our office or by video, depending on your preference and location. We provide guidance on what questions to ask and what to look for, especially for families hiring a caregiver for the first time. You are never required to accept a candidate you are not comfortable with.

Safety and Screening

How do you screen your caregivers?

Every caregiver in our network goes through a multi-step screening process before being presented to any family. This includes a comprehensive background check, reference verification from previous employers, and a detailed in-person or video interview conducted by our placement team. We assess each candidate’s experience, skills, temperament, and reliability — with evaluation criteria specific to the service type they provide. For a full overview, visit our process page.

What happens if the caregiver is not a good fit?

Every placement is backed by a replacement guarantee. If the caregiver is not the right match for your family, we find a replacement at no additional referral fee. You do not need to start the process over from scratch — our team works to identify a better-suited candidate based on what you have learned from the initial placement. The goal is to find the right long-term fit, not just fill the role quickly.

Do you offer a replacement guarantee?

Yes. The replacement guarantee is 60 days for families in Southern California and 90 days everywhere else, including San Diego. For postpartum nanny placements, the guarantee covers the full booking duration — whether that is 30 days, 42 days, or 90 days. If the caregiver is not the right fit within the guarantee period, we place a new caregiver at no additional referral fee.

Scheduling and Living Arrangements

Do you offer live-in caregivers?

Yes. Live-in arrangements are available for postpartum nannies, full-time nannies, housekeepers, and elderly caregivers. The caregiver lives in the family’s home and is available throughout the day (and overnight for postpartum nannies). Live-in rates are typically lower than live-out rates because room and board are provided by the family. Visit our salaries and rates page for live-in vs. live-out rate comparisons by service type and location.

What schedule options are available?

Schedules depend on the service type. Postpartum nannies typically live in for 26 to 90 days. Night nurses can work every night, weeknights only, or a custom schedule of three or more nights per week — with 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shift options. Full-time nannies and housekeepers can be live-in or live-out on a daily schedule. Elderly caregivers can be live-in for full-time coverage or scheduled for daytime hours. We work with your family to find a schedule that fits your needs and budget.

Can I hire a caregiver for a short-term engagement?

Yes. Postpartum nannies are commonly hired for engagements as short as 26 days. Night nurses can be hired for a few weeks or a few months. Other service types — nannies, housekeepers, elderly caregivers — are typically longer-term placements, but we can discuss shorter arrangements during your consultation. The minimum engagement length depends on the service type and your location.

What Families Say

Join 1,000+ families who’ve trusted us with their postpartum care.

We had a really great experience working with this agency. From the very beginning, they were incredibly efficient and kept the entire process smooth and stress-free. They quickly lined up multiple interviews for me and even sat in on them, which made a huge difference in helping me feel supported and confident in making the right choice.

Communication was excellent throughout--they are very responsive and always quick to reply via text or email whenever I had questions. You can tell they are organized and truly know what they're doing.

Our postpartum nanny, Ms. Liang, was absolutely amazing. She truly helped redeem my postpartum experience compared to my first time. She was caring, attentive, and treated my baby with so much love--it made such a meaningful difference during such an important time.

I've also heard from others that this is a very popular and trustworthy agency to work with, and I can see why. They are very transparent and thoughtful--for example, their contract includes things like allowing cameras in the baby's room to help remove any awkwardness or uncertainty, whereas other agencies leave those details to be figured out on your own.

Overall, I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and supportive experience.

We hired a Chinese confinement nanny through My Asian Nanny after our second baby was born, and it was the best decision we made. As a first-generation family, it was really important to us to find someone who understood zuo yue zi traditions -- the soups, the recovery practices, all of it. Our nanny spoke Mandarin fluently which made communication with my mom so much easier, and she also helped with overnight feedings so we could actually sleep. Honestly felt like having a night nurse and a postpartum caregiver all in one. If you're looking for a nanny who truly understands Chinese postpartum care, I can't recommend this agency enough. Worth every penny.

We honestly don't know how we would've survived the first few weeks with our twins without My Asian Nanny.

As first-time parents of twins, we were completely exhausted and running on no sleep. Managing one newborn is hard enough -- two at the same time was overwhelming. We started looking for a postpartum nanny in Los Angeles and found them through Yelp.

They matched us with May, our night nurse / newborn care nanny, who had experience with twins, and she was absolutely amazing. Within just a few nights, both babies were already settling into a better routine and we were finally able to get some real rest.

May helped with everything -- feeding, soothing, and managing both babies at the same time. She also gave us a lot of helpful tips on how to handle twins more efficiently, especially during night feeds and getting them on a schedule.

Honestly, if you're searching for overnight newborn help, especially with twins, I'd definitely recommend My Asian Nanny. Having someone like May made all the difference. Total lifesaver for our family.

Working with Stephanie and Diane was easy and straightforward. We reached out to them late in the process but they were able to quickly identify several potential nannies for us to interview.

Ms. Guo is an incredible postpartum nanny. She is very warm and caring and her extensive experience was evident in the confidence, gentleness, and consistency with which she cared for our baby.

In addition, Ms. Guo prepared very delicious meals every day. She put a lot of effort into preparing a variety of healthy food and also went above and beyond by preparing many frozen meals that we could eat after she had left.

Her presence allowed us to rest and recover. She is easy to get along with and very communicative and open to feedback. We are very grateful for her support and would highly recommend Ms. Guo to any family seeking dedicated and professional postpartum care.

My Asian Nanny helped match us with a truly wonderful nanny, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience.
Akim (Suqin Yin) was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and incredibly supportive—especially after a difficult delivery when I needed time to rest and heal. She provided exceptional newborn care, helping with feeding (including supporting breastfeeding and bottle routines), burping, diapering, bathing, soothing, and establishing healthy sleep habits. She was attentive to every detail, carefully monitoring our baby’s needs and offering thoughtful guidance.
Beyond baby care, Akim also cooked delicious, nourishing meals for our family and kept everything organized and calm during those early weeks. Our two-year-old daughter adored her and still asks about her.
We truly can’t say enough good things about our experience with My Asian Nanny and Akim. Highly recommend!!

We arranged part-time mandarin-speaking help for my grandmother in San Gabriel Valley, and Fanny has been an incredible support for our family. She is patient, dependable, and very attentive to my grandmother’s daily needs, which gave us a lot of peace of mind.

Fanny helps with home-cooked meals, light tidying and organization, and most importantly, taking my grandmother to doctor’s appointments and making sure everything runs smoothly. She communicates clearly in mandarin which has made my grandmother feel comfortable and respected. It’s not easy to find someone who is both practical and genuinely caring, and Fanny has been exactly that. We’re very grateful for her help and would highly recommend her to families looking for reliable part-time elder care. We highly recommend My Asian Nanny!

I am pleased to provide a review for Akim (Suqin Yin), who worked with our family as a live-in nanny for one month to help care for our newborn.

From the very beginning, Suqin demonstrated exceptional kindness, positivity, and trustworthiness. As a first-time mother, I felt nervous and overwhelmed with the responsibilities of caring for a newborn. Suqin was incredibly patient and supportive—she answered all of my questions with care and clarity, and took the time to teach me how to confidently handle day-to-day baby care.

Beyond her expertise with infants, Suqin was a tremendous source of comfort during my postpartum recovery. She reassured me when I felt uncertain, reminded me that my experiences and emotions were normal, and provided steady encouragement during a vulnerable time.

Suqin is honest, dependable, and genuinely compassionate. She brought warmth and joy into our home, and her presence made an enormous difference for our family. I highly recommend Suqin to anyone seeking a nanny or extra support with newborn care. Any family would be fortunate to have her.

We used My Asian Nanny Inc to find a nanny for our second newborn (we're in NJ). The experience was super quick and easy, we were immediately connected with two nannies to interview over facetime and both were great. Our baby nurse came to live with us the day I left the hospital and she was amazing. She helped with feedings/night routine/baths/cooking and basically everything baby related. She was also great with our toddler. I would absolutely use this service again.

I’m about halfway through my confinement period and am absolutely loving the care from my nanny Diana. She is a fabulous cook, is extremely attentive to my/baby’s needs, and works so hard both day and night! I was a bit unsure about going this route (I’m not Asian) but had heard good things from friends. I would absolutely go this route again - recovery has been a breeze and my nights are easy given she’s taking the bulk of the work. I would also recommend the company that sourced her - they heard me out on what was important, and lined up 4 fabulous candidates for my to interview. (I think any of them would have been great!) Recommending this to all my friends!

As first time parents, my wife and I have enough stress and anxiety regarding our first child (LOL) -- so it really was a blessing to have worked with My Asian Nanny with our nanny search. They are professional, always communicated on time, English AND Chinese proficient, and very organized. They communicated with my wife using an imessage text chat group - which worked really well for us. They were able to find multiple good candidates within a couple days and we were all wrapped up with our nanny search within 1 week. We also were looking for an Asian nanny that could speak English and that was open to Western views -- and the agency found multiple candidates to fit this criteria.

We’ve had two wonderful experiences with My Asian Nanny over the years. When our child was just a few months old, we were matched with a live-in nanny who provided exceptional care and support during such an important time in our lives. Most recently, we needed a temporary nanny to accompany us on a short family trip to Mexico, and Queeni was fantastic—professional, kind, and incredibly helpful with our now 6-year-old. We had a wonderful experience with Queeni as our night nanny—she was efficient, caring, and incredibly organized. My Asian Nanny made the entire process seamless from start to finish. Their team responded to our inquiry almost immediately and quickly matched us with several candidates who met all our criteria. The interview process was smooth, and we appreciated the thoughtful feedback provided after each session, which helped us make the right decision.
Even after we hired Queeni, the agency stayed in touch and answered all of our follow-up questions without delay. Their ongoing support was just as impressive as their initial service. We felt truly supported throughout the entire process, and we’re so glad we chose My Asian Nanny.

A friend referred me to this agency although she had never actually used it so I was a bit skeptical. We had been looking for a helper for my aging parents for quite a while and tried a few helpers through care.com. They were fine for short term but when they finally needed someone for live-in the cost was not feasible. I completed the application online for MAN and they do charge a $50 fee to start. After a couple days I didn't hear back so I called them with our needs. Within a couple days they lined up 7 possible candidates which we FaceTimed with. We narrowed down to 3 and interviewed again and finally selected one. They charge a hefty fee but overall the daily rate is much more reasonable than other agencies. Stephanie and Diane were easy to work with and communicated well. The Mandarin speaking live-in helper has been great and makes delicious food. We are very happy and would recommend MAN to anyone looking for an asian helper.

We're so grateful to have found My Asian Nanny for our Chinese confinement needs. They provided five highly qualified confinement nanny candidates, and after interviewing each one, we chose Queenie—a decision we're so glad we made.

Queenie was everything we hoped for in a Chinese confinement nanny. She cared for our newborn with incredible attention and love, ensuring he was safe, clean, and comforted at all times. She also prepared nutritious, traditional Chinese confinement meals that supported my postpartum healing, and she even offered lactation support, helping prevent milk clots and easing the breastfeeding process.

Her presence made our entire postpartum confinement period peaceful and restorative. My Asian Nanny made the entire process smooth, professional, and stress-free. If you're looking for a trusted source for experienced Chinese confinement care, I can't recommend them enough.

I am a first time mom and finding a Yue Sao (postpartum nanny) through My Asian Nanny was hands down the best investment we made. Our Shanghainese nanny, Jenny Liu was incredible. Even before she arrived, I sent her a video of my baby crying and she immediately and correctly assessed that our baby had jaundice. Based on her advice, we booked an emergency pediatrician appointment and were admitted to the NICU for phototherapy. She supported us through the entire process. I had several health complications after my unplanned C-section birth. Jenny took care of me and made sure that I was able to fulfill my breastfeeding goals despite all my health issues. She cooked nutritious meals and made sure that I got plenty of rest so that my body was strong enough to breastfeed. Jenny is extremely experienced, empathetic, friendly, and fun to be around. I trusted her because of her nursing experience in Taiwan and because of her first hand experience caring for many other babies. She taught us everything we know about how to care for a newborn -- invaluable advice and tricks that no amount of book reading or tiktoks can provide. Even after she left, she always answers my questions via calls and messages. She even checks in on my little one and video calls with him. He recognizes her voice instantly and stops crying whenever he hears her voice.

Stephanie at My Asian Nanny was immensely helpful in quickly connecting us with our stellar postpartum nanny! I had initially hired a postpartum nanny through a personal referral but that nanny got injured and told us she would no longer be able to work with us just a few short months before I was due to give birth. I was a bit frantic to find a replacement and Stephanie and her team were so helpful and on top of it as soon as I reached out. We loved our experience with our nanny, Diana, so much. She ended up being the perfect fit for our family! Thank you, My Asian Nanny team!

We had the immense privilege of having Nanny Dai as part of our family for the past seven years. From the very beginning, she was more than just a housekeeper; she managed our household with exceptional care and efficiency, ensuring everything was spotless and organized while providing a warm and nurturing environment for our child. Her patience and creativity were especially evident in how she catered to our picky eater, making mealtimes a joy rather than a struggle. Beyond her exceptional work, Nanny Dai truly became a cherished member of our family. Her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support will be greatly missed as she returns to China. We are incredibly grateful for the years we shared with her and will forever cherish the memories we've had together!

Highly recommend using My Asian Nanny as your nanny referral agency! Let me tell you why: Stephanie and her staff are friendly, professional, and will work really hard to find a nanny who will meet a variety of needs. Admittedly, the first nanny we hired did not work out (through absolutely no fault of the service) and Stephanie went above and beyond to quickly find someone who would better match with our family, because she truly cares that the families she helps are happy. I felt like I was asking a friend! That led us to Maria and SHE IS AMAZING! She incredibly knowledgeable, she is so kind, helpful, patient (a must with newborns!), and loving toward our baby and our whole family. She is even a certified massage therapist and can help with post partum pain/ soreness. Maria is also a lactation expert! We chose to use formula for our baby and Maria was so respectful and supportive of our choice. Everything she has done for our family has been helpful. We have an older child, but I basically forgot everything I learned and Maria helped reassure us (well, me) about normal newborn behavior and growth. She has the unique experience of having worked with many newborns and it really helped me, as a nervous mom! Maria cares so much about the well-being of our baby, me, and the rest of our family and I couldn't have asked for anything more. She even helps us get some sleep! Maria is also open to whatever choices families make for their baby and will always respectfully honor their requests. We have been so happy, we extended her contract with us, though I wish she could stay forever! Maria has been an invaluable part of our family during this transition to a family of 4. Something to note: we are an American family and do not have any cultural ties to the "Asian" part of this unique nanny service and Maria is THE BEST and bridging this gap. Not only is her English excellent, but she also has shared so much of her experiences as an expat in the US! Maria would be fantastic working with any family! I feel very lucky to have Maria be with us and will always be grateful to Stephanie and My Asian Nanny for facilitating bringing such a wonderful person into our lives!

From postpartum nanny to a live in nanny I had used my Asian nanny for couple times. Stephanie and Diane both been very helpful and answer all the questions I had and when I need them. And I know hiring nanny is a very personal feeling if you like the nanny or not, but they still very patient with me even text them during weekend. I definitely recommend them to my friends.
